In a nation-wide Simultaneous Pairs event, very few pairs reached 6♣ which is surprising. One pair that did were helped by North over-calling West’s 1♣ with 1♦ on that awful suit, but he paid for it, since when South went to 4♦ over East’s 4♣ West knew East had one diamond at most, so punted 6♣.
